Trelleborg Showcases Solutions for Smart Farming

At National Farm Machinery Show 2018, with Smart Farming becoming increasingly popular, Trelleborg will showcase a number of key innovations aimed at helping farmers to produce more with less, sustainably.

Andrea Masella, Head of Sales Trelleborg Agricultural Tires in North America, explained: “Trelleborg is leading the industry in innovation and sustainability. The increased use of technology in farming is becoming not only a luxury, but a requirement to keep up with the demanding and competitive environment of the agricultural market. The increasing use of technology in farming operations is a key trend which we have been supporting for some time now; what we are showcasing at National Farm Machinery Show demonstrates our commitment to that.”

At the show, Trelleborg will showcase:

  • The VIP (Variable Inflation Pressure) system is a smart solution capable of self-adjusting the tire pressure of a combine harvester during use. Responding to the precise load it optimizes tire footprint, thereby reducing soil compaction. The VIP systems was awarded a Gold Medal at the 2017 SIMA innovation awards and will be presented in the stand throughout the exhibition.
  • PneuTrac is a new generation of agricultural innovative tires that combines the advantages of a radial agricultural tire with the benefits of a track. It delivers unbeatable performance on both steep slopes and muddy terrain, reducing downtime to zero in demanding conditions. On stand Trelleborg will exhibit the 280/70T18 and 480/65T28 sizes.
  • The VF1050/50R32 and VF1000/50R25, new sizes in the TM3000 range, are designed with the latest generation of spreader machines in mind using ProgressiveTractionTM technology. The new sizes have a rounded shoulder design for maximum soil respect and a higher number of lugs compared to competitors to improve wear. They offer a wide width for maximum floatation and minimum soil compaction. These VF sizes are able to satisfy the need of carrying high load capacity while limiting soil compaction during spreading operations.

“At National Farm Machinery Show 2018, visitors will see the very best of what Trelleborg has to offer,” concludes Masella. “From groundbreaking innovations to a wide range of sizes on display, we will be sharing our commitment and passion for agriculture; helping to produce more with less, sustainably”
